Breakfast for Weight Loss
Last year I fell off the healthy bandwagon. It was more toward the end of the year. As we are almost one month into 2010, I am proud to say that I am back on track. When I got on the scale, literally freaked out, I had to realize it didn’t come on over night, so it won’t come off over night either. I am proud to say that I did loose 8lbs this month. There was no scheme, it was just me getting real with myself, making some changes and sticking to them. One thing I started to do was eat breakfast again. As my schedule had me running like crazy, I had a cup of coffee and I was out the door. Now, I eat breakfast every morning regardless if I am hungry or not. Here are some foods/drinks that I had for breakfast throughout the month.

Oatmeal – This high fiber food will not only warm you up in the morning, but keep you going all day long. Oatmeal has vitamin E, copper, zinc, iron, magnesium and a good source of protein. Add some blueberries to the oatmeal and you will have a breakfast full of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. This will result in plenty of energy and some inches off of your abs. Both, oatmeal and blueberries are known to reduce belly fat.
Green Lemonade- I can’t get enough of this drink. When you try it, you will be coming back for more too. This drink will keep you healthy, energized, cleansed and beautiful. Not only does is it packed with vitamins and minerals, it cleanses your insides and improves your overall appearance. This is perfect for a morning drink and followed by fruit 30 minutes later, you will have no choice but to have a great day.
Recipe for Green Lemonade
1 head romaine lettuce
5 to 6 stalks of kale
2 sweet apples
1 whole lemon
Put it in a juicer and enjoy.

Eggs- A great source of protein and vitamin B, eggs are known to metabolize fat. If you are prone to high cholesterol, be careful and check with your doctor before incorporating a large amount of eggs into your diet. Starting your day with protein will decrease your craving for sugar throughout the day.

Fruit – I love fruit, enough of it will fill you up. So stack up, snack on it, eat it and enjoy. You are staying healthy and satisfying those sugar cravings throughout the day.
I also ate cereal, waffles and splurged at Ihop (off the lite meal menu) but I still met my goal and then some.
