Fashion for Haiti
As Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2is well underway, the fashion community has come together to help Haiti. On February 16, 2010, you can purchase a t-shirt to help the efforts in Haiti. It is great to see so many communities come together and help.
This weekend I have the opportunity to attend Fashion Week. I will be reporting for Detroit Fashion Pages 1. With both excitement and anticipation, I don’t know what to expect. My girl Asia Willis over at The NYLA Report wrote a great post about Fashion Week Survival. Taking her tips to heart, I will let you all know how it goes.
I will be attending the Twinkle 0 by Wenlan and Luca Luca show. There are so many designers that inspire me including Rebecca Taylor . Even though I couldn’t attend their show, her amazing team was nice enough to send over some sketches to show her inspiration for fall. This collection was inspired by a mixture of 70’s Parisian attitude and an urban New York City girl. With a renewed love for classic sportswear, silhouettes have been re-worked with a twist to give subtle edge on signature feminine designs.
