William Malcolm always had an interest in art and fashion. He decided to step out with a lot of faith and pursue his passion. Less than a year ago, he started William Malcolm Luxe Collection. Since then he has been featured on many local and national news outlets and publications including CNN and WDIV 4 in Detroit.

As the CEO and Director of Design, he oversees all aspects of the brand, from design and fabric selection to the actual cuts and sketches. Malcolm considers himself “A style artist. In regards to my clothing it is my up most belief that men aspire to exude confidence, intelligence and style while conducting themselves in matters of business as well as pleasure.” As a designer Malcolm “promises each client uncompromising style, workmanship and customer service.” Each garment that is sent out is shipped in a gift wrapped box along with a corresponding musical soundtrack. “I want the gentleman that purchase one of my products to have an experience,” explains Malcolm.

Along with creating an unforgettable style, Malcolm feels that substance is an important element to complete the package. Due to this belief, he has developed a state wide Style & Substance Contest for Michigan Men. The prize package is worth over $25,000.00 and the primary focus of this contest is to encourage community and philanthropic efforts in Michigan as well as redefine the concept of style. “At William Malcolm Luxe Collection, we believe that style should be of substance. This is the very reason that we have established The Man of Style Contest-Michigan Edition.”

Encouraging substance in others, Malcolm is one who gives back to the community. He also has a non-profit called The Suit Project. “This is an engaging ten week mentorship based program that focuses on self-empowerment, educational advancement, entrepreneurship and increased spirituality to Detroit area young men ages 18-23. At the completion of the program curriculum the young men will receive a tailored suit.”

With a passion for helping men create the whole package, Malcolm is driven by spirituality. “I believe that God created all of us with individual talents and gifts. This is whey we are all created differently. It is up to us to find out what that gift is, develop it and use it to serve the world in excellence.”
