Hair Review: Roots of Nature
As I was strolling through the hair department I saw a new product line called Roots of Nature. The price was reasonable (all under $10) so I decided to give it a try. I washed my hair and applied the Roots of Nature Reconstructing Deep Treatment, I left the product in for about 15 minutes and rinsed.
Then, I applied the Strengthening Oil Moisturizer and braided my hair. Now, my hair is naturally curly so I tend to let it air dry before I straightened it. Since it was a late evening after a long week and two interviews on a Friday night, I got a bit lazy and fell asleep.
The next morning taking out the braids my hair was so soft with no frizz. I highly recommend the Strengthening Oil Moisturizer if you are braiding, wet setting or leaving your hair curly. I decided to blow dry and flat iron. As I was finishing my hair it seemed a bit dry. I didn’t worry too much I put some more Strengthening Oil Moisturizer on it and put it in a bun.
Now, as the week went on my hair honestly looked like I stuck my finger in a light socket. It was sooo embarrassing and annoying. So it was in a bun all week. Even the top of my head very dry and a HOT MESS.
When I rewashed my hair, I decided to give this product a try again. This time I just used the conditioner. Going with my usual regime of shampoo and conditioning with coconut oil. I did air dry again and then blow dry, it was a lot better. There was no light socket look. I also tried the stimulating scalp oil. This is a bottle that you can apply directly on your scalp. The oil is very light so if you have an itchy scalp, as I do in the colder months, it is a product I would recommend.
Roots of Nature doesn’t have me running to the shelf, but it didn’t have me tossing it either. The reconstructing conditioner I would recommend but I suggest that if you use it mix it with some oil, and leave both the conditioner and oil your hair for about 15 minutes.
The Strengthening Oil Moisturizer is great if you are wet setting or keeping your hair curly.
The Stimulating Scalp Oil is nice product for your scalp if it is itchy just apply and it will relieve it.
Have you tried Roots of Nature?
